#DThink Twitter Chat Recap: Leadership Accountability

February 05, 2016 by Bruce Jones, Senior Programming Director, Disney Institute

At Disney Institute, we believe that leadership is a verb, and that the ability to be an effective leader depends upon the actions one takes with respect to personal and organizational values. We call this “values-infused leadership.” And, in our training courses, we teach participants that if leadership is demonstrated through actions, then ultimately, every leader is telling a story about what he or she values in the way they behave.

During our most recent #DThink Twitter Chat, we had excellent dialogue with our Twitter community about this topic. Questions and answers were based on the curriculum from Disney’s Approach to Leadership Excellence, our professional development training course that explores how leaders can foster a workplace culture where their organization’s desired behaviors are consistently demonstrated.

A number of fantastic insights were shared throughout the chat. Click here to read the entire chat, or below we have shared a few highlights from the discussion:

Share your perspective: Why is it important to first define and communicate ideal leadership behaviors, and then hold leaders accountable to those behaviors?
