What Makes an Excellent Leader? D’Think Chat Highlights

Yesterday, we hosted a D’Think Chat on Twitter on the topic of leadership with Disney Institute facilitator, Kevin Gober. Our followers shared excellent comments and insights on the qualities of leaders such as maneuvering around difficult situations and various challenges facing leaders of a younger generation. Our final dialogue initiated a thought-provoking conversation on viewpoints about what an excellent leader never does. 

Below we share some highlights from that specific question:

From the perpective of Disney Institute, we emphasize that storytelling is a leadership competency that is grounded in our rich heritage. Here are four principles underlying the Disney difference in leadership:
