Marty Sklar

Beginning his career at Disneyland® Resort a month before the park opened in July of 1955, Marty Sklar is the only Disney Cast Member (employee) who has participated in the opening of all 11 Disney theme parks around the world. Beginning with Epcot® at Walt Disney World® Resort and Tokyo Disney Resort® in Japan, he led the Imagineering teams who created nine Disney parks. Marty has served successively as Vice President, President and Vice-Chairman and Principal Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering. On his retirement on July 17, 2009 – Disneyland® Park’s 54th birthday – Marty was accorded the highest Disney tribute; dedication of a window in his honor on Disneyland Park’s City Hall.
