Today we are tweeting live from Disney’s Approach to Selection, Training & Engagement at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

The topic is all about selection and the importance of aligning culture in the interviewing and hiring processes.

Participants are learning about different ways that Disney leadership intentionally engages applicants to opt-in, based on qualifications, or opt-out based on cultural mismatches. In this way, Disney gives potential applicants a taste of its deeply immersive culture before a candidate is even considered for a position.

This approach supports Disney’s onboarding techniques, processes by which applicants are hired, trained and integrated into their roles. Continual engagement for employees can be a challenge for companies, but this group of participants will soon learn how Disney does it.
